- 1 ½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt

- 2 teaspoons ground paprika
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 ½ cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, half of the minced garlic, half of the grated ginger, cumin, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces, toss to coat, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the broiler. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and place on a broiling pan. Broil for 15-20 minutes, turning once, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the remaining garlic and ginger, and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Add the broiled chicken to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
